"Every Good and Perfect Gift comes from the Father of Heavenly Lights." James 1:17

Daddy and his little princess
Nothing is more sacred or amazing than the beautiful (and what I mean by that is "handsome") children that God creates.

Happy Mother's Day and a Break from the Chaos

Lance took us to Galveston (Moody Gardens) for Mother's Day!!! Thank you!!! What an amazing husband. We needed a time to relax and just enjoy each other without work...(Mommy and Teeny Tiny at the Rainforest...)

Here we are by the pool...

Swim Lessons for Teeny Tiny

We started swimming lessons a few weeks ago!!! Yea, with all our friends from school, Ella, Makenzie, Austin and Matthew. She is having so much fun!!!!

Here we are discussing who is going to hold the coveted pink balloon from her school carnival...and yes, this is me 7 months pregnant with Lance Alton...coming in June.

Happy Easter at School!!! Lindsay was smart to pick the corner first where there were a large accumulation of eggs in a small space. However, when she hit the magic number of 4, she was done. That is all she wanted, although each child had 20. Needless to say, one child had a lot of sugar in their system when they got home.

This whole baby to a "big girl" thing is really hard for moms.
She is ready for her license. She wanted to practice at the Children's Museum first.

(1) Here we are ready to carry our own stuff in our own "big girl" backpack to school. However, that only lasted about a week...Now I am just carrying more stuff in a tiny backpack, but we are happy...

Hopes and Dreams and InBetween

A Dream is defined as a (4 a) : a strongly desired goal or purpose as determined by Miriam Webster...so that is what we are doing.

Here we stand by the door and wait for an adventure to "The Happiest Place on Earth"...purse in hand...she says she will pay for it...

The "Ice Day"...we ventured out hoping for all the snow we might accumulate in Texas.

We are now in a stage where we should be buying stock in Bandaid or Curad...Everything, "Bobo" or not needs a bandaid...it is really a glorified sticker in our house, with a little extra padding in the middle.

"Here is my new kitchen table!!!!" She is the upcoming Vanna White.

The Family

This is our family, our "home" - where in the presence of others we feel in the presence of God. We are the Hollis Family.

We are starting the blog primarily for Lindsay and Tony Slate, because they might possibly be the only ones who read it, but none the less here it goes.

First of all, this is our baby Lindsay, or Teeny Tiny, as we call her. She is the light of our lives!!! We are overjoyed each day with her presence and can't quite possibly get enough time with her no matter how much we try. She is amazing and wonderful. The most precious and incredible piece of our lives right now.

We are expecting a second baby this summer, but for now, she has us so completely wrapped around her every move.
This is one of my favorite pictures of a daddy so in awe with his daughter...It shows me how our Father in heaven might feel every time we run to Him for a hug.
So that is us in a nutshell. It is a good start and we try out this blog thing.
